Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and meet your driver guide. You will be given a complimentary safari hat, the best way to start your African safari in Kenya! The drive to your hotel is about 15 minutes (depending on the traffic). Arrive and check in at the Tamarind Tree Hotel.

Optional activities to choose from:

Visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage at the Nairobi Game Park headquarters. The elephants are fed from 11 am to noon. Visit these and other endangered animals like the black rhino.

Enjoy a visit to the Giraffe Center where you can hand-feed the giraffes. Then stop at the Karen Blixen House, once lived in by Karen, and made world-famous as the movie set for “Out of Africa” with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford (try to see the movie again! ) Ms. Blixen's good works, among and for the local people, have made her into a legend.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, your driver will meet you and then drive down to the magical Masai Mara for an unlimited photo experience in the wild. Drive through the Great Rift Valley with a stop along the way for some stretching, to visit the washrooms, and to enjoy some of the rural views.

Arrive in good time for lunch in the Mara. You will be assisted to check in at the Mara Crossing Camp. An eco-friendly luxury tented camp, the Mara Crossing Camp is uniquely located on the banks of the world-famous Mara River. At 16h00, after enjoying your afternoon Kenyan tea and coffee, head out for an exciting game-viewing adventure. Search some of the area's wildlife hot-spots determined by your driver guide. Your guide will take you to nearby watering holes where, on a hot day, you might spot many bird and wildlife species, including the elusive cats. At 18h30, after the game drive, head back to your camp.

Day 3

Have 3 full days in the Mara for maximum migration viewing and adventure. After enjoying a cup of hot Kenyan tea and coffee, head out for an exciting early-morning game-viewing adventure. Return in time for breakfast and then spend your time at leisure.

At 16h00, after enjoying your afternoon Kenyan tea and coffee, on today’s afternoon game drive the choice is up to you. You can search for the Big 5 or expand your horizons to discover something different.

Masai Mara National Reserve provides the necessary requirements to house a wide range of animal species. The most recognized are known worldwide as the African Big 5 which includes the African elephant, Cape buffalo, rhinoceros, leopard, and the king of the beasts, the lion.

At 18h30, after the game drive, head back to your camp.

Day 4

Have a full day in the Mara with both morning and afternoon game drives with optional activities to do in-between the game drives.

The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife-viewing areas. The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. There have been some 95 species of mammals, amphibians, and reptiles and over 400 bird species recorded in the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is, for this reason, a visitor hardly misses seeing the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino).

Optional activities include a Maasai village visit at USD 30 per person and a balloon safari at USD 450 per person.

Overnight will be at the tented camp.

Have yet another full day with unlimited photo experiences. The Mara is known as one of the finest wildlife destinations in the world. There is an excellent chance of seeing the Big Five, cheetah, serval, hyena, bat-eared fox, black-backed and side-striped jackal, hippo, crocodile, baboon, warthog, topi, eland, Thompson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, impala, waterbuck, oribi, reed-buck, and zebra.

Overnight will be at the camp.

Day 6

Wake up in the Mara, enjoy your buffet breakfast, and then check out and head back to Nairobi.

Arrive in Nairobi in good time for lunch, which will be arranged at the Carnivore Restaurant to enjoy the delicacies offered. The price included is for meals alone (extras such as drinks will be charged directly). After lunch, you will be dropped off at the airport for your home-bound departure flight.
