Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

Nairobi - Masai Mara

After breakfast in your hotel in Nairobi, your professional guide will pick you up and depart the Nairobi region for the Masai Mara with lunch en route. We drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you will have a chance to take photos, then proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Stop for lunch in Narok town.

This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains, famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. On arrival, proceed to the Maasai village as an optional activity. Dinner and overnight are at the camp.

After breakfast, you will depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game viewing in the Masai Mara National Reserve. A Masai Mara safari is an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya. There are breathtaking panoramas in every direction, a vast array of wildlife, including the Big Five and a rich cultural heritage to explore.

Kenya’s Masai Mara is, without a doubt, one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa. Between July and October, things get busy in the great migration. Millions of zebra and wildebeest make the perilous crossing across the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory. And in their wake comes a veritable horde of predators, including lion and leopard. Our guide will ensure you get the best photographic opportunities and enrich you with the amazing cultural practices of the local Maasai communities. Dinner and overnight are at the camp.

After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru with lunch en route. Enjoy scenic views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in the evening and be dropped off at your hotel, Buraha Zenoni, for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific birdlife, including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino, while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Later, you will drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for a hot lunch. You have the option of a boat ride on the freshwater lake or a visit to Crescent Island to see hippos and fish eagles, both at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight are at the hotel.

Day 5

Lake Naivasha - Nairobi

After breakfast, have a nature walk in Hell’s Gate National Park, the only place you can walk. You may hire bicycles to cycle (only in this area). There are over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux's eagles, augur buzzards, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboon are also common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chandler's mountain reedbuck. The park has attractions like Olkaria and Hobley's, 2 extinct volcanoes, and obsidian formed from cooled molten lava.

Within Hell's Gate is the Hells Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs which contain 2 volcanic plugs. Later, drive to Nairobi. You will have lunch served en route. Arriving in Nairobi late afternoon, you will be dropped off at the Nairobi hotel or the Nairobi airport.
