Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met for your road transfer to Bateleur Safari Camp in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. Once you arrive at the camp, check-in, settle in, and enjoy some tea or coffee before setting out on your first afternoon game drive to begin your search for the animals, including the Big Five.

**Please note that for 2026 bookings the age group for children allowed at Bateleur Camp is 8 - 11 years old, and no longer 6 - 11 years old.

Timbavati Game Reserve

The morning game drive starts at sunrise. You will wake up before dawn for tea and coffee before the game drive starts. Then, you are off for 3 hours to find as many animals as possible before they all find trees to hide under in the heat of the day.

When the game drive returns to the camp, you will be served a delicious hot breakfast and have time to relax. You can sit by the pool, read a book, take a nap and absorb being out in the bush. You can choose to go on a bush walk instead of a morning or afternoon game drive on either of the days.

After high tea, the afternoon game drive will start around 3:30–4:00 PM. It will last for +-3 hours, with a stop somewhere for sundowners. You will return to the camp in the dark, with a spotlight to look for nocturnal animals.

Timbavati Game Reserve to Hoedspruit

After your final morning game drive, enjoy a warm breakfast and depart the camp for your road transfer to Hoedspruit Airport, where your safari comes to an end.
