Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

Nairobi - Masai Mara

You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport, transferred to our office to meet the group, and depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will travel via the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch and refueling. After lunch, leave Narok and drive to the reserve, arriving at the camp. Check in and relax for a few minutes. Proceed for an afternoon game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver-guide. Dinner and overnight are at the camp.

Day 2

Masai Mara - Maasai villlage

After breakfast, spend a full day on game drives within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network, which allows for close-range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. Continue with the game drive until 17h00. Then it is time to visit the Maasai village, which is optional. Dinner and overnight are at the camp.

Day 3

After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru, with lunch en route and scenic views of Mount Longonot, Lake Naivasha, and Lake Elementaita from afar along the main highway. You will arrive in Nakuru town in the evening. Dinner and overnight are at a mid-budget hotel.

After breakfast, proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its prolific birdlife, including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino. Species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Enjoy a hot lunch and drive to Naivasha. You have an option to take a boat ride on this freshwater lake to see hippos and fish eagles (at an extra cost). Dinner and overnight are at a budget hotel.

Day 5

After breakfast, have a nature walk in the Hell’s Gate National Park. You may hire bicycles to cycle (only in this park). There are over 100 bird species, including vultures, Verreaux's eagles, Augur buzzards, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chandler's mountain reedbuck. Enjoy a hot or picnic lunch, then drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Nairobi.
