A local guide will take us through Soweto to the home of President Nelson Mandela, the Hector Pietersen Memorial Site, and Freedom Square. A walking tour and drive to significant sights will reveal the homes of South African icons like Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, and Winnie Mandela. We then visit the famous FNB stadium, also known as the African Pot due to its design.
Time permitting, we continue to Liliesleaf Farm where the ANC activists held meetings in 1960 and were arrested, which lead to the Rivonia trial. Today it is a museum and a World Heritage Site. We then visit Constitutional Hill, the site which housed political prisoners. Settle in and relax at Lancaster House and enjoy dinner and drinks to end the evening.

Blyde River Canyon
Today we head to one of the largest canyons, the Blyde River Canyon, a natural wonder. We examine the beauty of the Three Rondavels, and view the magnificent God's Window and the Mac Mac Waterfall. Our journey through the Long Tom Pass takes us to Pilgrim's Rest, a historical town formed in the famous gold rush of 1873, and a provincial Heritage Site. We will stop for lunch. Later, we head to the Graskop Hotel for a delicious dinner and overnight.

Kruger National Park
We arrive at the Kruger National Park, one of South Africa's largest game reserves. We lunch on the banks of the Sabie River, followed by a 4x4 sunset safari to experience the "Big 5". The variety of bird species and the geographic diversity of bush plains and tropical forests make this an exciting adventure. The day ends with a traditional South African braai.

Kruger National Park
Making the most of the game-drive viewing, we set off from camp at 4:30 am for a 3-hour sunrise safari with an experienced guide. These sunrise safaris offer some of the greatest viewing pleasures. On return to camp, we enjoy a hearty breakfast and then head off for the final safari of the day. We spend the night at the Lower Sabie Rest Camp.

Swaziland
We depart for the Kingdom of Swaziland (passports included), a beautiful picturesque landscape with wilderness reserves and the showcase of the traditional Swazi culture. Our tour takes us up to the Ngwena Glass Factory. We then head to Mbabane, the capital of Swaziland located in the rugged Dlangeni Hills. The journey takes us to the Royal Palace, Parliament, the King's Mausoleum, and a tour of the Ezulwini Craft Market. We overnight in a local boutique hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

Cape Town
Departing Swaziland, we travel through Southern Mpumalanga to Oliver Thambo International Airport, heading to Cape Town. The late afternoon begins with a sunset stroll on the scenic Sea Point Boulevard. Dinner will be at the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and we overnight at Dunkley Guest House. The next day we take you to the airport.

Cape Winelands
We head to Stellenbosch where we visit the museum and go on a wine cellar tour. We then head to Franschhoek where we stop for lunch and visit the Huguenot Museum as well as an exceptional boutique wine farm. Our onward journey takes us to Paarl, past the Nelson Mandela statue, then to the Taal Monument. We end the day with dinner at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town.

Cape of Good Hope
Enjoy a scenic drive past Table Mountain, Lion's Head, Clifton, and the Twelve Apostles en route to Hout Bay. Here, we will cruise to Duiker Island to see the Cape fur seals. We then head to the Cape of Good Hope to see Cape Point Nature Reserve, then on the Simon's Town to Boulder's Beach to see the jackass penguin colony.
We end the day at the oldest wine farm, Groot Constantia, for dinner.

We begin at the Company Gardens, then head to the Castle of Good Hope, a well-preserved Dutch East-India Company fort. Next, we navigate further to the South African Museum, Malay Quarter, District Six, Green Market Square up to Signal Hill to hear the firing of the noonday gun.
We lunch at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Enjoy the afternoon walk around the 36-hectare garden of natural forest and fynbos.
We end the day with a traditional African feast with more than 30 dishes from the continent.
