Prepared with packed breakfast & Lunch, Your private guide, with his/her 4WD vehicle, meets you at 04:30am ready to hit the road heading to Volcanoes National Park a head of your gorilla trekking trip. Leaving the lively capital, drive north-west through lush hills and bustling market towns for 2.5 - 3 hours, to the stunning Volcanoes—well known as the venue for Dian Fossey's pioneering studies of the mountain gorillas. Drive straight to the park headquarters for a briefing for, and then hike up into the rainforest to a troop of magnificent mountain gorillas. Each troop has its own 24-hour guard, so their location is known. However Gorilla Trekking can be 2 - 8 hours depending on how long it takes you walking to find them, once you find them you usually have an hour with them, time to sit and observe them at very close quarters. After the day's experience, drive for roughly 2.5 - 3 hours back to Kigali marking an end of your one day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Volcanoes National Park trip.
