Arusha - Ngorongoro Crater

Arusha - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and start your tour to Ngorongoro. On arrival, you will visit a Maasai village and later proceed to the Ngorongoro Crater gate. Descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive with a picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2,000 ft. high walls, the Ngorongoro Crater has the highest wild animal density worldwide. Among the species found here are lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and many birds. You can expect to see the Big Five in one day. In the late evening, drive to your hotel for your overnight stay.

Ngorongoro - Lake Eyasi

After a leisurely breakfast, you will enjoy the last view of the crater from your lodge. You will then proceed to Lake Eyasi, home to the hunter-gatherers' ethnic group of the Hadzabe Bushmen. They bear similar characteristics to the Bushmen in Southern Africa. The small people of this indigenous group are probably the last who live in true harmony with nature and have a wealth of knowledge about fauna and flora to share with us. You will also visit the remote Datoga community, famous for their colorful leather dresses. The day is filled with visits and cultural encounters around Lake Eyasi. After experiencing the beautiful sunset on the banks of Lake Eyasi, you will drive to your hotel for an overnight stay.
