On this day, you have the option to choose between visiting Tarangire National Park or Lake Manyara National Park. The decision may depend on the time of year, as each park offers a unique safari experience. Your guide can provide recommendations based on the best choice for your safari.

Following breakfast, you'll set out from Arusha for a drive of approximately two hours to either Tarangire National Park or Lake Manyara National Park. During the journey, you'll pass through vibrant Maasai villages and traverse the expansive, iconic plains that are synonymous with African imagery.

While exploring these parks, you'll also have the opportunity to spot lions, leopards, Cape buffalo, and a diverse array of antelope species. If luck is on your side, you might even catch sight of endangered animals such as the greater kudu or the fringe-eared oryx.

Our journey commences with a scenic drive towards the Serengeti. En route, we'll traverse the mist-covered rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You might be fortunate enough to spot Cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards concealed in the dense undergrowth.

While the drive to the Serengeti park gates lasts nearly four hours, you have the option to break up the journey with some optional activities.

Following breakfast, we hit the road once again, making our way back towards the Ngorongoro Crater.

Our drive retraces our steps through the Serengeti, albeit via a different route, providing ample opportunities to spot the animals that may have eluded you on the second day of your safari. As far as the eye can see, you'll behold vast herds of thousands upon thousands of animals; wildebeests and zebras migrating in unison, towering and graceful giraffes, leaping antelopes and gazelles, the mighty African elephant, and the highly esteemed group of animals: the predators.

During this drive, you'll have the chance to spot sleek cheetahs and elusive leopards, foraging hyenas, and, last but not least, the king of the savannah himself—the lion.

Tonight, you'll dine and spend the night either on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater or in the nearby town of Karatu, based on the standard and type of accommodation you've chosen from our options.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to over 120 mammal species, including the celebrated Big Five, stands as one of the world's most coveted safari destinations.
