Arusha-Mandara

After breakfast pick from your hotel around 7:30am start Driving from Arusha to Marangu Gate where the trek Start at this point through tropical rain forest to Mandara Hut which is about 2770m (5 hours) A trek through fascinating rain forests till you reach the first hut Mandara. Meals and overnight at Mandara hut. Mandara Hut can accommodate more than seventy people and consist of several sleeping huts and a dining area. All Marangu huts have beds with mattresses and pillows. During high season, the huts can be crowded Dinner and Overnight at (2770m).

Mandara Hut -Horombo Hut

Mandara to Horombo Hut at 3750m. (6hours). After breakfast leave mandara at 7:30am follow the ascending path through the alpine-meadow. The altitude begins to change, pole pole down your pace while enjoying the flora and the view of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.12km from Mandara to Horombo where Lunch served en route. Meals and overnight at the hut. Although extremely busy, the Horombo Huts are considered to be the nicest huts in Mt Kilimanjaro. The Horombo can accommodate big number of people whereby its provider accommodation for ascending, descending and acclimatizing trekkers. Horombo can accommodate up to one hundred trekkers and many more porters, cooks and guides Dinner and Overnight at (3750m).

Horombo Hut-Kibo Hut

Trek Horombo to Kibo Hut 4725m. (7 hours) After breakfast, resume the trek pass the landscape becomes rugged and rocky. Lobelias begin to appear. Climb to Kibo Hut. Meals and overnight at the hut. The Kibo huts are made of stone and are not very warm. Make sure you have warm sleeping bag or a three-season sleeping bag with an extra sleep sheet. Here most trekkers experience some effects of altitude sickness due this higt but us you used it get better Dinner and Overnight at (4725m).

Kibo Hut-Uhuru Peak-Horombo

Wake around 11:30am for breakfast tea, coffee biscuits and pop corn at 12:00am leave the camp start treking from Kibo hut to attempt the Summit where take about 7hours pole pole to Uhuru Peak at (5895m)The beginning of the last ascent is made at this hours of the morning while the scree is still frozen Climb the very steep part of the route to Gilmans' point (most difficult and tiring part)Uhuru Peak is reached within 1hour walk from this point be more potncial to step at Roof of Africa (19,344ft)after sunrise photo start descending down to kibo hut for short rest with lunches and after proceed further down to Horombo hut for Dinner and Overnight.
