Your adventure begins with an early morning flight from Zanzibar at 08:00 am, connecting via Dar. After a short flight, you arrive at Msembe Airstrip in Ruaha National Park by 11:00 am. From the moment your plane touches down, the park’s breathtaking wildlife and scenery unfold before you — graceful giraffes may wander across the runway, and elephant mothers often protect their calves beneath the shade of towering baobab trees. Your guide will meet you and escort you to your lodge or camp, where you can settle in and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch while taking in the panoramic views of the wilderness. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive. Explore Ruaha’s diverse landscapes, from open savannahs to rocky kopjes, witnessing herds of elephants, prides of lions lounging in the sun, impalas grazing, and other iconic African wildlife. The park’s rich biodiversity and dramatic scenery provide perfect opportunities for photography and close encounters with nature.

Ruaha National Park - Zanzibar Island

After an early breakfast, embark on a breathtaking sunrise game drive in Ruaha National Park. Marvel at the park’s stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife—Ruaha boasts the largest concentration of elephants in East Africa, with around 10,000 gentle giants roaming its plains. You may also encounter leopards, cheetahs, zebras, elands, giraffes, impalas, bat-eared foxes, crocodiles, snakes, and jackals. Ruaha is also home to 10% of the world’s lion population, making every sighting a thrilling experience. After an unforgettable morning, transfer to the airstrip for your flight at 11:45 am, flying back to Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam. Arrive at 1:30 pm, where you will be met and transferred back to your hotel.
