Zanzibar Island - Mikumi National Park

You'll be picked up from your hotel after breakfast and transferred to Zanzibar Airport for a scheduled flight to Mikumi National Park, departing at 9:15 am. You'll arrive at 11:15 am in Mikumi and meet our safari driver-guide at the airstrip, and transfer to the camp for lunch.
In the afternoon, you'll have a game drive, Mikumi National Park, the park is the fourth-largest national park. It’s also the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. With almost guaranteed wildlife sightings, it makes an ideal safari destination for those without much time.
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.

Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, you'll go for a full-day game drive in the vast, beautiful Mikumi National Park till evening. The Makata floodplain is an attractive point of the park where you can easily spot a large number of animals, including elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, impalas, and a large number of bird species. The vegetation of the region includes a savanna with acacia, baobab, tamarind, and some rare palms. In this area, farthest from the road, are the spectacular cliffs of the Rubeho and Uluguru mountains.

Departure

At 6:00 am, you'll have an early morning game drive in Mikumi starting at sunrise. At 9:00 am, you'll have a late breakfast, then transfer to Mikumi Airstrip for a scheduled flight to Zanzibar Island that departs at 11:00 am. After arriving in Zanzibar, our driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
