3-Day Wonderful Mikumi NP plus Night Game Drive

Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

We pick you up from the airport, ferry, or hotel and start to drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately a 5-hour drive. You will have a short stop in Morogoro for a hot lunch. Afterward, we proceed to Mikumi National Park. We arrive for an afternoon game drive until sunset.

Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi NP Followed by Night Game Drive

Wake up for an early morning game drive then return to the cottage for breakfast. You will then go out again for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park with a packed lunch box or with the option of a hot lunch inside the park. You will continue with the game drive until sunset and then return to the cottage for dinner.

Animals commonly found in this park include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, elephant, and many more. Wild dogs can be seen in packs here. Enjoy the open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

After dinner, you will go out at 8 pm for a night game drive looking for active nocturnal animals. If you are lucky, you will be able to see leopard and lion walking around in the park. We continue with the game drive until midnight and then drive back to the cottage for our overnight stay.

Mikumi to Dar es Salaam

Wake up for an early morning game drive in Mikumi National Park until 8:30 am and then return to the cottage for breakfast. After breakfast, you will continue with the game drive until 11:30 am then start driving to Dar es Salaam with a stop in Morogoro town for a hot lunch. On arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for a late flight to another destination.
