Your safari will begin with a briefing at your hotel or lodge by Kiliholidays representative. Before setting off, we’ll make a quick stop at a supermarket for any last-minute essentials. From there, we’ll drive to Tarangire Park for a game drive and enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wildlife. Tarangire is famous for its large herds of elephants and striking baobab trees. As part of a vital migratory route, the park hosts up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras during peak seasons.

Day 2

After breakfast from the lodge, we’ll set off for Serengeti National Park, enjoying a game drive en route. Along the way, you'll have the chance to spot a wide range of wildlife, including leopards, lion prides, packs of spotted hyenas, swift cheetahs, and various plains game such as buffaloes, topis, hartebeest, wildebeest, waterbucks, eland, zebras, gazelles, and warthogs. After the game drive, we’ll head to Matawi Serengeti Camp for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the wilderness.

Day 3

Waking up in the Serengeti is truly unforgettable. Surrounded by the sights, sounds, and scents of the African wilderness, we’ll begin a full day of exploration in one of the world’s most iconic national parks. After breakfast, we’ll set off on a morning game drive in search of the legendary Big Five. Throughout the day, we’ll traverse the endless plains, pausing for a picnic lunch in a designated area.

As the sun moves across the sky, the magic of the Serengeti unfolds—each moment offering the chance to witness something extraordinary. From lions and leopards to elephants, cheetahs, zebras, and countless antelope species, wildlife sightings can happen at any time.

After a thrilling day on safari, we’ll return to our tented camp for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay. For those seeking a truly unique perspective, an optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an additional cost.

Day 4

After an early breakfast we head out for another game drive on the Serengeti. We may be afforded the opportunity to spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – before embarking on our journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves offering us an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Arriving at the edge of the crater we have our first glimpse of what awaits us the following day – glistening streams, open grassland and a myriad number of animals. We spend the night at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge. Breakfast: Lunch: Dinner.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

Very early in the morning, after a quick stop at the viewing point high up on the Calderas edge, giving a birds eye view of this teeming land of beauty, we descend down onto the crater floor for a full day of wildlife viewing in one of the seven wonders of Africa and most incredible places on Earth. The Caldera, formed with the massive explosion of a volcano three million years ago, is home to 25,000 ungulates and makes a paradisiacal roaming ground for the big five along with over 500 species of bird. After a stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo lake, and more wildlife viewing in the afternoon, we drive up the steep road out of the crater, passing through different climatological zones before our return to Arusha. Breakfast: Lunch.
