From Maun Airport you will embark on your 30-minute light aircraft transfer to Xugana Island Lodge. Now that you are here, you can begin to explore the crystal-clear waterways by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) and motorboat for the chance to enjoy the magnificent variety of bird, plant and reptile species found in the area.

Rise and shine it's time to explore the Okavango Delta. After an early morning wakeup call you can enjoy a light continental breakfast followed by a 3 to 4-hour morning activity. Brunch will be served where after you will have time to relax and take in your surroundings. Afternoon tea will be served on the open-air patio, followed by your afternoon activity. You will arrive back at the lodge in time to freshen up and enjoy your dinner.

Off To Savuti

Depart Xugana Island Lodge for your half-hour light aircraft transfer to Savute Safari Lodge. From the airstrip, it will take about 25 minutes by road to the lodge. Lodge activities are organised around game drives throughout the Savute area in open 4x4 safari vehicles. Many trips will incorporate a visit to the Savute Marsh to give you a chance to see the historic presence of the Savute Channel at the marsh against a backdrop of teeming wildlife. You can also enjoy a visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills – a small hilly outcrop which forms a prominent landmark in the otherwise flat landscape.
