Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel between 6:00am and 8:00am for the journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The first stop will be at the Great Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint, where you can enjoy sweeping views, take photos, and receive a brief explanation of the escarpment's geological formation. The second stop will be at Narok town, where you will have a chance to freshen up before continuing your drive.

You will arrive in the Masai Mara in time for lunch, after which you can relax at camp and prepare for the next day's full-day safari adventure.

Full-day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will be picked up from camp at 7:45am for a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. The reserve's vast savannah grasslands and rolling hills provide a stunning backdrop, while its extensive road network makes for excellent game-viewing opportunities.

Throughout the day, you will encounter a wide variety of wildlife, diverse vegetation and breathtaking scenery. A picnic lunch will be served at the iconic Mara River, famous for its dramatic wildebeest crossings during the great migration. After lunch, your adventure continues with more wildlife viewing until sunset.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

Start your morning with a cup of tea or coffee before joining an optional visit to a Maasai village. Here, you will have the opportunity to interact with the Maasai community, learn about their traditions and experience their unique cultural practices. The visit is priced at USD 10 per person, payable directly at the village.

Afterwards, return to the campsite for a full breakfast, then check out and depart from the Masai Mara for the drive back to Nairobi. Along the way, enjoy a stop for a hot lunch before arriving in Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport—bringing your Kenya budget safari to a memorable close.
