Day 3

Leave the beautiful Ilala Lodge Hotel behind you and take a road transfer to Kasane Airport. From the airport, you will be met and transferred to Chobe Under Canvas in Botswana. You’ll be spending 2 nights at the tranquil and luxurious mobile tented camp. This tented safari camp has ensuite bathrooms (with flush toilets and hot bucket showers) and is located right inside the game-rich Chobe National Park which creates personal encounters with Botswana’s wildlife. Day 4

Chobe National Park is home to one of the largest concentrations of elephants on the African continent. Surrounded by wildlife reserves that allow the game to roam freely, the 11,700sq km reserve is in the far north of Botswana, bordering the Chobe River. Chobe is particularly known for its large herds of elephant and buffalo, as well as two antelope species that can't be found anywhere else in Botswana; the puku and Chobe bushbuck. There are vast floodplains that occur along the river and Chobe is home to a vast dry savannah. Dense teak forests provide thick cover in the north-eastern parts of the where watching the elephants drink and bathe in the river is an unforgettable sight, even more impressive, when herds of buffalo, rafts of hippos and Nile crocodiles are part of the scene. Lions and spotted hyenas are frequently seen on the floodplains, where red lechwe, puku, zebra, sable and roan come out to graze.
