After an early morning check-out, the guesthouse shuttle will transfer you to the OR Tambo Bus Terminal to board your shuttle to the Big Shoe, departing at 07h45. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your private guide for a half-day Panorama Route tour. Along the way, you will visit the major highlights of this scenic route, making memorable stops at the various viewpoints. Later in the afternoon, you will check in at your lodge in Hoedspruit, where a delicious dinner will be served.

You have breakfast at the lodge before embarking on a cultural tour to one of the local villages. We introduce you to some of the village personalities such as the traditional healer, the village chief and traditional council and take you to some local micro businesses, for example the place where they make traditional beer. In the afternoon, you will head to Kruger National Park, you will spend the afternoon in search of all the iconic animal species including the Big 5 with a dedicated professional field guide, who will frequent dams, waterholes and riverbeds where animals are most frequently seen to maximize animal viewing opportunities. He will also show you different landscapes and tell you about the importance of vegetation and soil for different animal species that live there.

After an early start from your rest camp, you will spend the day on guided game drives through a variety of landscapes, from open savannas to riverine forests. Each area of the park offers something unique, and your guide will ensure you make the most of the experience by sharing knowledge about the park’s diverse ecosystems, natural history, and ongoing conservation work. You will stop at designated rest areas during the day for meals and refreshments, before continuing your journey through this remarkable wilderness. As evening approaches, you will return to your rest camp to relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of being inside one of Africa’s greatest national parks.

On your final morning in Kruger National Park, you will enjoy one last game drive or take in the peaceful atmosphere of the camp before checking out. After breakfast, you will begin your journey back to Johannesburg, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences and breathtaking landscapes of your safari. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, you will be transferred to OR Tambo International Airport.
