Upon arrival at Ivato Airport, your guide will escort you to Maison Gallieni in Antananarivo’s historic heart. After breakfast, you'll head out on a walk along the Path of the Crabs (Chemin des Crabes), where you'll find ancient baobabs, the famous hairy crab and a kaleidoscope of birdlife including the bright red fody, Souimanga sunbird, paradise flycatcher, Madagascar fish eagle, crested ibis and the rare Madagascar sacred ibis. You'll also visit a cave where you'll discover historical treasures including stalactites, sharks' teeth and a fossilized lemur skull. You'll return to the lodge for lunch and a leisurely afternoon - soak in the large infinity pool filled with seawater or explore the private coves surrounding the lodge.
