1-Day Materuni Waterfalls

One of the most impressive waterfalls in the Kilimanjaro area is just located 19 km away from Moshi. The impressive waterfall is situated at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, close to the scenic village of Materuni on an altitude of 2500 m. A comfortable and nice walk leads you through dense forest and coffee plantations to the waterfall and you can see various birds, butterflies and flowers along the way. Your knowledgeable guide will give you interesting information about the flora and fauna. 70 meters is the crystal clear water of Materuni falling down and you enjoy your picnic at this very scenic place. You have time to explore the place, take pictures and take a natural shower in the spray of the waterfall. Back in the village, you go for a coffee tour and see, how the local people grow, roast and prepare a delicious cup of Kilimanjaro coffee, before you head back to Moshi in the afternoon.
