Mto Wa Mbuu to Serengeti

There was a reason that “The Lion King” creators drew their inspiration from the Serengeti, and today you will get to discover why. Renowned for its’ large lion population, this may be the best opportunity to get a great view of a Lion Pride in their natural habitat, as the gazelles, zebras, and buffalo are abundant in this region. Come during the right season, and witness the birth of the wildebeest calves, where they will begin their annual migration to Kenya at the end of May. Lunch will be served in the park, and after a full day of games drives your campsite awaits.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

A full-day game drive in the Serengeti National Park is not merely a trip. This is your opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the rhythms of the ecosystem, from the golden glow of dawn to the fiery sunset over the savannah. Unlike shorter drives, a full day allows you to journey deep into the remote corners of the park, follow the drama of predator and prey, and truly appreciate the scale and majesty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Morning Hunt: As you set out, you’ll witness the Serengeti at its most dynamic. Big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards are often still active from the night or are beginning to plan their day.

Day 4

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Your final day on safari is designed to be nothing short of spectacular, trading the vast, horizon-less plains of the Serengeti for the concentrated wonder of the Ngorongoro Crater. This isn't just a transfer; it's one last chance to soak in the Serengeti's magic. Keep your eyes peeled for any wildlife you may have missed—perhaps a stealthy leopard retreating after a night hunt or a tower of giraffes silhouetted against the morning sun.
After exiting the Serengeti plains, you'll begin the climb into the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Feel the air grow noticeably cooler and watch the landscape transform from flat grasslands to lush, montane forests.
The crater floor looks like a self-contained, miniature world—a patchwork of forests, lakes, and grasslands teeming with tiny specks that reveal themselves through binoculars to be vast herds of animals. Overnight at Simba A Campsite.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast you will drive to the Crater, checking in at the park gate, your vehicle will begin the steep, winding descent down the inner wall onto the crater floor. This is where the real adventure begins.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a natural enclosure, creating one of the most dense populations of large mammals on the planet. This is your best chance in Tanzania to see the critically endangered black rhinoceros, which thrive under the constant protection of the crater's environment. It is also one of the only places in the world where you can reliably see all of the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) in a single day.
In the mid-to-late afternoon, you will begin the ascent out of the crater. The drive back to Arusha is a time to reflect on the journey. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha or at the airport in the evening, marking the end of your unforgettable 5-day camping safari.
