Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After a briefing from your guide, you depart from Arusha. The drive to Tarangire takes about 2-3 hours, with the landscape changing from city to vast plains and scattered Masai villages.
Mid-Morning: Enter Tarangire National Park. Known as the "Elephant Playground," Tarangire is famous for its massive herds of elephants, often numbering in the hundreds. You'll also see ancient baobab trees dotting the landscape, which give the park a unique, majestic atmosphere. You spend the day exploring the park with a picnic lunch at a designated site. Keep your eyes peeled for:
Wildlife: Large herds of elephants, giraffes, buffalo, impalas, gazelles, elands, and more.
Predators: Lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
· Evening: Exit the park and drive to your nearby campsite (often on the outskirts of the park or in Karatu). Assist your cook with setting up camp or relax with a hot shower before enjoying a hearty dinner prepared by your safari cook.

Day 2

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you depart for the legendary Serengeti National Park. The drive is an adventure itself, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and offering stunning panoramic views from the Ngorongoro crater rim.
You enter the Serengeti at the Naabi Hill Gate, where you can do a short walk to the summit for your first breathtaking view of the endless plains. Game viewing begins immediately as you drive towards your central campsite.
The Serengeti, meaning "Endless Plains" in the Maa language, is unparalleled for its vastness and the sheer density of predators and prey. You will spend the afternoon on a game drive searching for the Big Five and witnessing the famous Great Migration (location depends on the season).
Evening: Arrive at your public campsite inside the Serengeti. Falling asleep to the sounds of the African bush—hyenas whooping, lions roaring in the distance—is an unforgettable experience.

Full Game Viewing Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Sunrise Game Drive, An optional early morning game drive offers the best chance to see predators at their most active. The morning light is also perfect for photography.
· Full Day Exploration: You have the entire day to delve deeper into the Serengeti ecosystem. Your guide will take you to prime locations known for wildlife sightings, kopjes (rock outcrops where lions and leopards often lounge), and vast grasslands teeming with wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy lunch at a scenic picnic site in the heart of the park.
Afternoon: Begin your journey back towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will exit the Serengeti and drive up to the campsite on the crater rim.
Evening: As you set up camp on the rim, you are treated to spectacular views and incredibly starry skies. Be prepared for a cold night due to the high altitude.

Day 4

Very Early Morning: This is the most anticipated day. You descend over 600 meters (2000 feet) down the steep crater wall into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest intact volcanic caldera.
Morning Game Drive in the Crater: The crater is a natural enclosure, creating a unique ecosystem with the highest density of wildlife in Africa. It's your best chance to see the endangered black rhinoceros. The Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhino) all reside here. You'll also see large herds of wildebeest and zebra, flocks of flamingos on the soda lake, and countless hyenas. Picnic Lunch by the Hippo Pool: You will stop for lunch at a beautiful picnic site near a hippo-filled pond.
After several hours of spectacular game viewing, you begin the ascent out of the crater. You then start the journey back to Arusha. Late Afternoon, You will be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha or at the airport, marking the end of your incredible 1safari adventure.
