Day 1

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Our guide will pick you up from the airport or from your hotel in Entebbe and you will set off for Kibale Forest National Park. The journey from Kampala to Kibale takes approximately four hours. The trip is long, but also with very nice, beautiful changing landscapes and amazing views of the hills and mountains.

On arrival, you will enjoy lunch and then start the Bigodi wetland hike. During this walk, you will see many different bird species and several monkeys.
After the wetland hike you will return to your hotel and enjoy dinner.

Day 2

Chimpanzee Tracking

Chimpanzee Tracking

You will search for the chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park. First, you will visit the rangers post in the park for a briefing, then the walk starts in the rainforest. The walk can be heavy at times, so wear good shoes and bring a poncho. Try to keep quiet as you’ll have a better chance of meeting the chimps. The rangers are experienced in tracking so the chances of spotting them within a short time are very high. After the trekking you will have lunch at the hotel.

In the afternoon you will hike to one of the best virew point sin the area - "Top of the World " overlooking several crater lakes.

After the hike you go back to the hotel and prepare for the night afer a hot meal.

Day 3

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey is long and can take up to eight hours.
On your way, you will have some time to stop and enjoy the scenery, take pictures and enjoy lunch en route. After arrival at the lodge, you will have dinner and an early night to get enough rest for the gorilla tracking the next day.

Day 4

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the day for gorilla tracking. After breakfast, you'll go to the rangers post for the briefing. After the briefing, the search begins for the mountain gorillas. Depending on the location of the family you are going to visit, the trip can take a few hours. The landscape is mountainous so carry good walking shoes.

The afternoon does nothave any planned activities, just in case the Gorilla tracking takes longer tehn expected.
In case the tracking ends earlier you will have time to visit one of the local communities and/or experience a forest walk to one of the waterfalls.

After breakfast, you will drive back today to Entebbe, where the journey through Uganda starts.
On your way back to Entebbe you will have a lunch break at the Equator line.
Depending on your outbound flight times, you will have some time to spend in Entebbe.
