Upon your arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, we will welcome you and assist you in taking over your rented car. Your first night will be spent at the charming Midgard Country Estate, conveniently situated near the capital city of Windhoek. In the afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring vistas our country has to offer. Your journey will take you in your own car on some off-road passages through untamed savannahs and bushveld, culminating in an ascent to a mountaintop vantage point. The panoramic view from this platform is sure to leave you spellbound, setting the perfect tone for an exhilarating tour through Namibia.

After a hearty breakfast, you will embark on a mountain adventure. Cross Country

A hearty breakfast will prepare you for the drive to the Waterberg Plateau Park. After visiting the famous woodcutters’ market at Okahandja, you will travel on tarred and gravel roads to the Waterberg Plateau Lodge and enjoy lunch upon your arrival or en route. During a game drive in open safari vehicles, you will experience the pristine wilderness of the nature reserve. Following an excellent dinner, you can relax and enjoy an evening drink with a stunning and unforgettable view over the Plateau Park.

Mountains and Plateaux

Your journey leads you to Ai-Aiba - The Rock Painting Lodge. Along the way, take in the beauty of the Erongo Mountains, a volcanic massif. Marvel at the giant rocks scattered throughout this impressive mountain range. These ancient rock formations are the eroded remains of a volcanic complex that's about 130 million years old and famous for its countless rock paintings.

After having lunch at Ai-Aiba, you will explore the area by 4x4 and discover the fascinating Bushman paintings. To conclude another full and captivating day, you will enjoy a relaxing dinner 'under the stars' amidst the rocks.

En route to the coast

Today, you will face the challenges of Namibia's dry riverbeds and gravel plains as you journey off-road along the Khan River until you reach Swakopmund on the west coast. You will spend the next two nights at the Strand Hotel in Swakopmund. The influence of German colonial times is still very evident in this picturesque coastal town. Enjoy lunch on your way to the Atlantic Ocean.

Dunes and Waves

This day holds many exciting highlights for you. Embark on a boat cruise in the scenic Walvis Bay lagoon, where surprises await you, topped off with a delightful lunch featuring champagne and Namibian oysters. Then you'll embark on a drive along the coast from Sandwich Harbour (a nature reserve) over high dunes until you reach the lagoon of Walvis Bay. This is the ultimate off-road experience! The Walvis Bay lagoon is a bird enthusiast's paradise, where you can spot a variety of birds, including large flocks of flamingos. This thrilling day is topped off with an excellent dinner at one of Swakopmund's popular restaurants – the perfect place to savor fresh fish and the world-famous Namibian oysters.

Return Journey
