Queen Elizabeth National Park for Afternoon (Sunset) Game Drive

After breakfast, you will embark on an exciting drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, situated in the shadows of Mt. Rwenzori. Several stops will be made along the way for lunch, the equator, and landscape viewing before you reach the Park.

You will arrive in the afternoon, have lunch, and embark on an afternoon game drive. During the drive, you will expect to view animals like elephants, buffalo, lions, bush pigs, and antelope families, among others.

After your long journey and afternoon game drive, you will check into Bush Lodge for your dinner and an overnight stay. The Bush Lodge forms a base for your Queen Elizabeth National Park safari activities. Surrounded by the park & bordering Kazinga Channel, the lodge has a truly unique setting. Animals roam in the camp & the sounds of hippos & hyenas will complement your trip. When at Bush Lodge, expect an outdoor safari atmosphere, close to nature, with food & friendly service.

Game Drive, Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel & Sunset Game Drive, Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early in the morning, you will set out for a game drive in the park. Queen Elizabeth's diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes & volcanic craters makes it home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzori Mountains as a backdrop, provide opportunities to see lion, leopard, forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi & bushbuck.

You will return for lunch. Later in the day, when the sun is high in the sky & the animals make their way to the river for a drink, you will head to Kazinga Channel for an exciting boat safari. You will spot more hippos today than you can possibly imagine. Herds of elephants & buffalo will also be wandering down to the shoreline to bathe in the cooling waters. It will be a wonderful experience.

You will go for a short sunset game drive & return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector to Search for Tree-Climbing Lions

On this day, you will wake up early and have your breakfast. Then, you'll transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park while enjoying a scenic drive that allows you to view the beautiful and varied countryside. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda on the rim of the Rift Valley. More notably, this “impenetrable forest” protects over 400 population of mountain gorillas —approximately half of the population in the world, among which are several habituated groups, that can be tracked by visitors.

You will have a game drive at Ishasha Sector, where you will search for tree-climbing lions, elephants, lions, buffaloes, among other species.

You will return for lunch and continue with the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive in the evening and check into Buhoma Community Rest Camp for your dinner and an overnight stay.

Mountain Gorillas Tracking & Batwa Community Visit or Canoe Ride on Lake Bunyonyi

Today, you will enjoy gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi has the biggest concentration of gorillas, given its small size. The search for Gorillas goes through the thick, untamed rainforest, where you’ll be scrambling over mossy rocks and through deep undergrowth. It isn't the easiest of activities and will be arduous, but the encounter is well worth the effort. Watching gorillas in their natural habitat is an experience that will last a lifetime. The experienced ranger guides will willingly share with you a lot of information about the history and lifestyle of the Gorillas.

After gorilla tracking, you will choose to either go for a canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi or visit the Batwa community for them to take you through their traditions like traditional dance, beer making, setting fire before returning/checking in to Itambira Island, Seeds of Hope for your dinner and an overnight stay.

Equator Experience & Departure

You will enjoy your last sunrise and breakfast in this beautiful corner of Uganda before your guide drives you across the beautiful scenery back to Entebbe. You will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport 3 hours before your departure time with a stopover at the Equator Monument for an equator experience and photo moments.

Please make sure your flight departure is after 6 pm at the very earliest. For flights departing before 6 pm, you will need an extra night in Entebbe, which we can help arrange for you at an additional cost.
