Your 3 days Bwindi gorilla trekking Uganda safari starts with an English speaking driver who doubles as your guide picking you from a suitable location within Kampala before heading out to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Your first stop will be at the equator in Kayabwe, about 72 kilometers from Kampala city. While at the equator, you will have a chance to see the imaginary line that divides the world into two halves.

Continuing with your journey, you will have an optional activity of passing through Queen Elizabeth National Park's famous Ishasha region – the home of the tree-climbing lions depending on your gorilla tracking region. You will then arrive at your lodge later in the evening at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

You will have an early breakfast before you head out to the park headquarters at around 7:00 am for a briefing about your gorilla tracking excursion. You will then hit the trails with a team of professional guides and trackers. While advancing through the trails you get to encounter a variety of mammal, primate and bird species as well as noteworthy floral and plant life.

Once you encounter a gorilla family, you will spend an hour observing its members; how the domineering male silver-back (head of the family) displays his authority and ability. Besides other males, you will also see the caring mothers tending to their little ones.

As the afternoon wanes, you will embark on the ‘Batwa experience’. This includes visiting the community where the Batwa – native forest dwellers live. You will a chance to observe and engage in their daily routine; brewing local beers, preparing herbs, as well as their song and dance performances later retiring to your lodge.

Day 3

Transfer from Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

You will have breakfast early in the morning, before setting off to Lake Bunyonyi located in southwestern Uganda. The lake is believed to the second deepest lake in Africa, you also encounter over 200 bird species on top of the beautiful scenes.

Upon arrival, you will indulge in various activities such as canoeing down the lake to explore plenty of amazing scenery, hiking up the hills, nature walks, swimming, quad mountain biking, birding, fishing and cultural encounters with the local communities living around Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 4
