Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
This morning you will travel from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park, taking approximately 2-3 hours. The park is described as one of the hidden gems of Tanzania. Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and large herds of elephants, which are not shy to come straight up to the vehicle. You will head to Lilac Elevate Inn for your overnight stay.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After an early wake-up and breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and driven towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa, the Serengeti National Park, with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.
We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. In the evening, you will be transferred to the hotel as per the standard of your accommodation requested.

Serengeti Plains
After breakfast, go on a game-viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River. It is good for possible lion, Thomson's gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. The visitor’s centre is not far from the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites, and is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. This nicely designed centre offers some interesting wildlife displays, as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. We will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the centre in the shade of the giant acacia trees. In the afternoon, we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai kopjes, which usually attract a number of lions and some formidably large cobras. In the evening you will be transferred to the hotel as per the standard of your accommodation requested.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will take a 3-hour drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for the Ngorongoro Crater descent, then start on the game drive. At midday, you will have your lunch at the base of the crater. Ngorongoro is one of the 8 Wonders of the World. The crater is a very important refuge for a variety of wildlife. Most commonly seen are big bull elephants and the vulnerable species of black rhinos. The crater is also home to big herds of wildebeest and zebra, Thomson's and Grant's gazelle, hippopotamus, African Cape buffalo, prides of lion, hyena, serval cat, golden and black-backed jackal, and close to 400 species of birds. Upon finishing your afternoon game drive, we will proceed back to Arusha.
