First Gorilla Trekking Experience - Conservation Tour

After an early breakfast, depart for Volcanoes National Park, where your driver-guide will assist you through registration and gorilla group allocation at the park headquarters. Continue to the trailhead, where your unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure begins through the lush forests of the Virunga Mountains.

Accompanied by experienced trackers with lifelong knowledge of the forest, you will hike through the beautiful terrain in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once you encounter these magnificent creatures, enjoy a magical hour observing their daily activities, including feeding, playing, resting, and caring for their young. After this remarkable experience, descend the mountain and return to your hotel for lunch.

In the afternoon, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, a conservation center dedicated to protecting mountain gorillas through research, education, and community initiatives. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
