Nairobi-Masai Mara National Reserve

You'll be picked up from your Nairobi hotel at 7:30 am. Have a safari briefing session with your driver/guide then drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve as you enjoy the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley. Masai Mara National Reserve is the northern part of the Serengeti, one of Kenya's most favoured game-viewing areas. The reserve covers 700 square miles of magnificent wilderness. It is the Africa of the imagination; endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills. Enjoy afternoon game drives to see the sundowner as you trail the Big Five i.e. lions in large prides, elephants, buffalos, zebras and numerous plain game. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy 2 full days spent exploring the park in search of the Big Five and other predators. Wake before dawn for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness a Masai Mara sunrise. After a quick cup of coffee, you'll head out into the park to watch as the sun sets fire to the savannah and the big cats take advantage of the morning cool to search for a meal. Alternatively, you can take to the skies with an optional hot air balloon safari that will see you soar above all of the action. Afterwards, you'll set down on the plains for a champagne breakfast among the wildlife (this can be arranged at an extra cost of US$500 per person). You'll then return to your lodge for a late breakfast before packing a picnic lunch and heading back out into the park for a day-long exploration of the Masai Mara. You may also opt to relax at your lodge in the morning, enjoy lunch on site, and then head out again in the afternoon once the weather has cooled off a bit.

Today, you'll bid farewell to the Masai Mara. After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Nairobi to arrive by 2:00 pm. You'll be dropped off at the hotel or international airport. End of a memorable safari.
