Kampala city Tour & boat cruise on the Source of river Nile

After an early morning breakfast, we start the day with Kampala city Tour with key highlights being the Kabaka palace, Amin tourture chambers, Kasubi tombs, Gadhafi mosque, Kabaka's lake among others. Enjoy a hot traditional cousin before we drive to the source of the Nile with quite a number of palm trees, tropical plant, some primates hanging on the trees, watch native fisher men throw their fishing nets into the river, most interesting of all you shall go for a boat ride to the source of the Nile where you shall view a few islands during the cruise and later head to Jinja town, the once industrial capital of Uganda, now dominated by different tribes in Uganda especially from the eastern region. Have dinner and overnight stay at the source of the smile hotel.

Kayaka the Nile & Transfer to Sipi falls Optional Abseiling on Sipi falls

After warm breakfast at leisure, Kayak the Nile before we you depart to Sipi falls in Kapchorwa district on a plateau 1800m above sea level. (eastern Uganda) north eastern of Sironko and Mbale. The town looks fantastic since it’s located on the foot of mountain Elgon. The Sipi River flows over the foothills of Mount Elgon, forming a spectacular series of waterfalls (some nearly 100m high), surrounded by village walking trails and lush green coffee-producing hills. You will stay in a wonderful lodge. From your lodge you have beautiful views over one of the waterfalls.

Hike to Sipi falls and later the coffee and community experience

Wake up call from the amazing sounds of Sipi falls, enjoy your breakfast and after hike the famous waterfalls, the incredible Sipi falls for an adventure, the trail is a little steep and puzzling as you pass through banana and coffee plantations but very rewarding because you shall enjoy a photo moment with your camera as the falls and caves under are very beautiful! Save your memory as you leave this beautiful country of nature later, we shall head back to the lodge for a mouthwatering lunch and after go to the coffee project one of the places where great coffee is processed you may even get a chance to take a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

Explore Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve then proceed to Kara-tunga Safari Camp

Be up early and have your breakfast then proceed for game viewing in the pristine Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve. Pian Upe is located between Mt. Elgon NP and Kidepo Valley NP, established as a game (wildlife) reserve in the 1960s. The Reserve is part of the Mount Elgon Conservation Area (MECA).
While in Pian Upe, look out for its inhabitants such as ostriches, common elands, plain zebras, the greater kudu, savanna monitor lizards and the only remaining numbers of roan antelope in the whole of Uganda. It is also only in Pian Upe that you may have the chance to see cheetahs while on a Uganda safari. After the game viewing and of course (packed) lunch, exit Pian Upe then head to Moroto.

Visit The Karamojong Manyattas of Nakaperimoru in Kotido

After breakfast, you will begin our drive through the Villages in Moroto. Afterwards, we traverse through the Karamojong wilderness area, as we continue our journey off the beaten track by going through the tribes, hopping for a market day to visit the tribes, it’s a very remote area with a scenic reserve, local people, Karamojong markets in the most un touched area and remote village set up are the highlights especially the livestock fields on the remote wild Motorway. Enjoy cultural experience with the Karamojongs and check in at Kidepo savanah camp in the evening.

Game Viewing & Walking safari Kidepo valley national park

Have early morning breakfast and head to one of the most interesting national parks in Africa for game viewing and walking. While there, you may have the opportunity to view cheetahs, ostriches, big herds of buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, elephants among other animal species not forgetting the park has over 476 bird species that can be viewed making this safari much more interesting and a must go for bird watchers. Please don’t forget to carry your binoculars. Not just that you will discover Narus river from where most of the animals and birds use as a drinking place to enhance their survival in the park. Retire the day at the lodge.

Ziwa rhino tracking and transfer to Kampala

Its yet another day to explore the incredible nature with a walking safari to track the rhinos at ziwa rhino sanctuary as we en route to end our life time adventure. Have lunch and drive to Kampala or Entebbe before traffic. This is the only place where you can see rhinos in the wild.

Visit Ngamba Island Chimpanzee sanctuary - Departure

Today we cruise to the famous Jane Goodal Insitute in Ngamba Island which is a home to the rescued chimpanzees. You will participate in the morning feeding and monitoring of these human relatives before we cruise back to Entebbe. Plan for an evening departure this day as we have completed our community immersion and walking safari experience across the hidden paths in Uganda.
