Morning drive from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru with afternoon game drive

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi. Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its spectacular birdlife, diverse wildlife, and scenic landscapes. Travel through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, stopping at a viewpoint to admire the dramatic escarpments and panoramic vistas.

Arrive at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge in time for lunch. After lunch and some relaxation, embark on an afternoon game drive through the park. Explore the acacia woodlands, grasslands, and lakeshore habitats while searching for the park's famous white and black rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, lions, and, depending on the season, large flocks of flamingos and other water birds. As the sun sets, return to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge for dinner and an evening at leisure.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara - Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, check out from the lodge and begin your journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve, enjoying a brief game drive en route as you exit the park. Continue through the Great Rift Valley landscapes and arrive at Sarova Mara Game Camp in time for lunch. Nestled within the reserve, the camp offers luxurious tents, beautiful gardens, and excellent access to some of the Mara's prime wildlife viewing areas.

After lunch and some time to relax, set out on your first game drive in the Masai Mara.
