You will be picked up from the hotel and drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 120km from Arusha). This park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient Baobab trees (the largest trees in the continent, which fill the landscape and dwarf the animals next to them. Tarangire River is full of wildlife ranging from large variety of birds to lions, buffalos, antelopes, elephants, zebras, and giraffes. We will then have an afternoon game viewing and then drive to Eileens Trees Inn Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2-3
Serengeti Park | Lodge - Tukaone Weavers Camp

We'll begin the day with the scenic drive towards the Serengeti. Along the way we'll pass through the mist-shrouded rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might be lucky enough to glimpse cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards in the dense undergrowth. Maasai people called this park siringiri, meaning endless plains. The Serengeti speaks for itself and with good reason not only the migration of over 1 million wildebeest through its plains and woodlands but also unique landscapes and other spectacular wildlife. Leave and head back to Tukaone Weavers Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater / Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater / Arusha
A highlight awaits you this morning as you depart to explore what is commonly referred to as the world’s largest wildlife zoo. After breakfast, you’ll descend through the early morning mist and 2,000 feet into the crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. With more than 30,000 resident animals, it is an awe-inspiring wildlife experience. You return to the lodge for a late lunch and then have the afternoon at leisure. Lunch will be served at a picnic site after which you start your journey back to Arusha.
