Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda

Arrive at Kigali International Airport and find a warm welcome from your Rwandan hosts who will give you a briefing on your gorilla tour ahead. Thereafter, drive to northern Rwanda for a visit to the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Enjoy a sumptuous lake fish lunch here and head to the viewpoint where you will be able to see the two lakes and the entire beautiful scenery of the five volcanic mountains stretching all the way to Congo DRC borders.
The three Countries: Rwanda, Uganda and Congo DRC meet at the tip of the Sabyinyo peak. Take nice photos and continue on to the Cyanika border and cross over to Uganda. Drive through Kisoro town to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for dinner and your overnight stay.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Mutanda

After early morning breakfast, we'll drive to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts during gorilla tracking. Thereafter, you will proceed to the gorilla trail. Gorilla tracking normally lasts between 2 to 8 hours or it may even take a day to encounter the gorillas. However, you will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch, which will be provided, as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. You will spend 1 full hour watching them. Learn how the gorillas live and relate to each other as well as family formations and adaptability. Thereafter, trek back to the starting point and drive back to Lake Mutanda for dinner and your overnight stay at Lake Mutanda Resort.

Lake Mutanda Boat Tour and Transfer Back to Kigali

After breakfast, we'll explore Lake Mutanda with a speed boat and visit some of the islands—go birding, you can swim—simply enjoy the lake whether you are on top of it in a boat, or swimming in it. Afterwards, we will drive you back to Kigali City, via Katuna border, another border point between Rwanda and Uganda, arriving late in the evening.
