Dar es salaam to Mikumi national park (Evening game drive)

You will be picked up from your hotel, airport, or ferry and take the morning train to Morogoro. Upon arrival, your driver–guide will transfer you to Mikumi National Park, approximately a 2-hour drive. On arrival, enjoy lunch, followed by an afternoon to late-evening game drive. Explore different areas of the park, including Mkata Plain, Kisungura, and the Hippo Dams, for excellent wildlife sightings. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Camp Lilac Mikumi.

Game drive + Night game drive

Breakfast, Leave for the full game drive with a packed lunch. Animals commonly found here include lion, Eland, Hartebeest, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Zebra and elephant. Wild dog can be seen in packs here. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the popular centerpiece of Mikumi, draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti Plains. The game drive will go up to 3pm where you will go for nap and rest when you get ready for night game drive
Your night game drive starts around 20:00 from all the must visit places in the park. You will return back to the lodge and finally around 23:30. This night safari will give you an entirely different perspective of the park and wildlife, The bush is a completely different world at night which is what makes night drives so special

Mikumi national park to Dar es salaam

You'll have an early morning breakfast, and afterward, you'll drive back to Dar es Salaam via Morogoro town.
On arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped at the ferry for the second or last ferry to Zanzibar, or we can drop you off at the airport or hotel.
