Your adventure begins with an early departure from Arusha, travelling through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania towards the legendary Serengeti. As the scenery unfolds, the landscape gradually opens into vast golden plains dotted with acacia trees and dramatic rocky kopjes.

Upon entering the Serengeti, begin your first game drive, with opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and other wildlife. Continue towards the Seronera Valley, the wildlife-rich heart of Central Serengeti, where abundant water attracts a remarkable concentration of wildlife and predators throughout the year.

Later, arrive at Maboresho, where you can settle in, enjoy dinner and relax after a rewarding day of wildlife exploration.

After an early breakfast, leave Central Serengeti behind and journey north through some of the most spectacular wilderness in Africa. The drive itself becomes part of the adventure, with an en-route game drive offering opportunities to encounter wildlife as you travel towards Kogatende and the Northern Serengeti.

During the migration season, this is the region where the great herds gather around the Mara River, creating one of the most dramatic chapters of their annual journey. Depending on the timing and movement of the herds, you may witness thousands of wildebeest and zebra gathering along the riverbanks, with the possibility of dramatic river-crossing activity.

Later, arrive at Swahili Dreams, where you can relax, enjoy dinner and unwind in the peaceful surroundings of the Northern Serengeti.

Arrive at Ngorongoro Mysigio, a peaceful retreat where you can relax and unwind after several days of safari. Enjoy a delicious dinner and take in the tranquil surroundings as you prepare for the final highlight of your journey.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for the final and unforgettable game drive of your safari. The crater floor is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.

Explore the crater’s diverse habitats, from open grasslands and wetlands to the shores of Lake Magadi, all surrounded by dramatic volcanic walls. Enjoy a picnic lunch in this spectacular setting before ascending the crater and beginning your approximately 190-kilometre journey back to Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon or early evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, marking the end of your safari with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s remarkable wildlife, landscapes and wilderness.
