Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and receive a full briefing on your safari. You will depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve via the viewpoint at the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive Mara in time of late lunch. Later you will have a nature walk with Masai before returning to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Today after breakfast for will enter the park to track the big5 and the wildebeast migration. A packed lunch will be provided. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions and abundant resident wildlife. It is one of the few places where it is possible to see the Big Five during a morning game drive. Many of the cheetahs are accustomed to vehicles, often seeking shelter from the sun beneath them or even climbing onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey.

For bird enthusiasts, nearly 500 species have been recorded in the area. This includes 16 species of eagle, numerous hawks and falcons, 6 species of vulture, 8 species of stork, 4 species of bustard (including the kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbird.
