Day 1

Welcome To Uganda | Transfer To Kibale National Park | Visit Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves

On your arrival in Uganda, you will be welcomed and picked by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to Kibale National Park.

Drive through various districts and reach the colorful and beautiful town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, situated in the shadow of the fabled "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori.

You will visit the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves and the three surrounding explosions Crater Lakes. This makes it a most interesting day adventure and can be done while staying in Fort portal. A side-trip to the Amabere Caves and the three nearby Crater Lakes will be a time of hiking, learning about the local culture and legends, plus a hike around three crater lakes.

You will proceed to Chimpanzee Capital Lodge afterwards.

Day 2

Chimpanzee Trekking | Bigodi Walk

Chimpanzee Trekking | Bigodi Walk

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters with a packed lunch and be briefed about the Do's and Don'ts of chimpanzee trekking. After briefing, you will start the trekking and it takes about two to three hours, depending on the location of the chimps.

Kibale National Park; a haven with the largest concentration of chimpanzees. Uganda has the highest number of chimpanzees in the whole world which is about 4950 chimpanzees and Kibale National Park holds about 1500 chimpanzees.

After the trek, you will go back to your lodge to freshen up then you visit Bigodi Swamp. This is a beautiful area in the rain forest with an abundance of animals: monkeys, birds and maybe forest elephants.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is home to over 95 species of mammals and over 600 species of birds.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is the largest biotic area in Africa. The park is also Uganda’s most popular tourist destination, On arrival, you will have a boat ride on the Kazinga channel which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Some of the best wildlife viewings are done on boat cruise by viewing Squacco herons, hippos, Elephants, Antelopes, and more.

You will later on have an evening game drive.

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ishasha sector to track the tree-climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains. The Ishasha sector is notably recognized for its resident tree climbing lions that are an exceptional attraction and one among the highlights on all safaris taken within Queen Elizabeth National park.

In the southern sector of this park, the Lions are now and again spotted hanging on branches of huge fig trees whereas the Uganda Kob (which are the major food to these lions) graze in the plains of the Ishasha sector.

After tracking the tree climbing lions in Ishasha, you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

In the evening, you will head out for a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that has lived in the forest for 500,000 years, enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will go for Mountain Gorilla trekking in the jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with a packed lunch. Before the trekking, you will have a briefing about the Do’s and Don’ts while in the park with gorillas.

The trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours and this is based on the location of the gentle giants. Once you get sight of the gorillas, you have an hour to admire, observe and take photos of them. It’s advisable to bring along a rain jacket and hiking boots. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to over 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 27 frog species among others, and covering an area of 331 sq km.

At the end of this long and exciting adventure, return to your lodge to freshen up and be driven to Lake Bunyonyi where you will chose whether to participate in the optional activities. They are; zip-lining, canoeing, kayaking and ninja warriors each at US 40 per person payable at the location.

The Last Day With Us | A Stopover At The Equator | Transfer To Airport | Fly Back Home

After your breakfast, you will be driven to the airport. You will have a stopover at the Equator in Masaka. See where this imaginary line divides our planet into two equal hemispheres. Snacks, souvenirs, and photographs may be taken here.

After the stopover, you will proceed to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.

We wish you could stay with us forever, but your safari in Uganda will now draw to a close. We have no doubt that we will have shown you the most incredible time here, and we look forward to seeing you again.

N.B: This trip accepts children who are 3 years and above. However, only children with 15 years and above can trek the Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzee, if you have children below 15 years, you have engaged them with other activities as you go Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking. So, for children who are 14 years and below, each child will get a discount of USD 800 off.
