You will have breakfast at 7:00 am. Afterwards, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and drive on a tarmac road 120km to Tarangire National Park (2,850sq km or 1,005sq miles) for game drives. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. After lunch, you will continue with afternoon game viewing in the park. This park is home to lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, pythons, zebras, oryxes, impalas and more. Over 450 species of birds have also been observed.

Day 2

You will be picked up from your Arusha hotel with your private safari guide and 4 x 4 safari land cruiser and transferred to Lake Manyara National Park. Located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park offers varied ecosystems, incredible bird life, and breathtaking views. Lake Manyara National Park is well worth a stop in its own right as it is located on the way to Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. Its groundwater forests, bush plains, baobab-strewn cliffs, and algae-streaked hot springs offer incredible ecological variety in a small area, rich in wildlife and incredible numbers of birds. You will have dinner and an overnight stay at the camp/lodge.

Day 3
Serengeti National Park

Today you’re off to the famous Serengeti National Park, home of the Great Migration. Your drive today is spectacular as you drive up the crater highlands, stopping at the rim for a birds-eye view of the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. You'll continue on as you crest the hillside spread out before you as far as the eyes can see. Serengeti means “endless plains” in Kiswahili. This 6,900sq mile (18,000sq km) park is inhabited by more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles, large predators including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. They are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey that migrate throughout the park. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons and African hares also inhabit the area along with nearly 500 species of birds. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge or tented camp.

After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a once-in-a-lifetime safari tour. The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown, this thick volcanic crater is the most significant unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. Upon descending to the crater floor, you will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater, which is one of the crater’s leading features.
