Day 1

Your 7-Day Classic Namibia Guided Safari Experience begins with an early morning departure from Windhoek. Your guide will meet you at your accommodation before heading south toward the spectacular landscapes of the Namib Desert, one of the oldest deserts in the world.

The scenic drive takes you through beautiful mountain passes and ever-changing desert scenery. Along the way, you may stop at the famous desert settlement of Solitaire, known for its small bakery, desert charm, and impressive views of the surrounding landscapes.

Arrive in the Sossusvlei area in the early afternoon and check in at The Elegant Desert Lodge or similar, located near the entrance to Namib-Naukluft National Park. The lodge offers stunning views of the surrounding desert mountains and provides a peaceful atmosphere to relax after your journey.

Day 2

Today begins very early to catch the soft light of sunrise over the Namib Desert. After a quick breakfast, you depart the lodge and drive through Sesriem Gate into Namib-Naukluft National Park, heading toward the famous Sossusvlei dune fields. As the road stretches deeper into the desert, towering red sand dunes rise on both sides, creating one of the most iconic landscapes in Namibia.

Your first stop is Dune 45, one of the most photographed dunes in the world. Here you will have the opportunity to climb the dune and enjoy breathtaking views over the endless sea of orange sand dunes glowing in the early morning light.

From here, you continue further into the park toward Deadvlei, a striking white clay pan surrounded by massive dunes. The area is famous for its ancient, dried camel thorn trees that have stood for hundreds of years, creating one of the most dramatic photographic landscapes in the Namib Desert. Adventurous travelers may also choose to climb Big Daddy (Big Mama).

Day 3

Namib Desert to Swakopmund

Namib Desert to Swakopmund

After breakfast, depart for the Atlantic coast. The route passes through the striking landscapes of the Namib Desert via Gaub Pass and Kuiseb Canyon.

Along the way you cross the Tropic of Capricorn before reaching the coast at Walvis Bay, where flamingos and other birdlife are often seen along the lagoon.

Continue to the charming coastal town of Swakopmund, known for its German colonial architecture and seaside atmosphere.

Spend the afternoon exploring the town, visiting cafés, shops, or the beachfront promenade.

This morning you travel to Walvis Bay for one of the most spectacular coastal experiences in Namibia. Upon arrival at the Walvis Bay Waterfront, you will meet your local guide and check in at 08:00 for a briefing before beginning your half-day Sandwich Harbour 4x4 excursion.

Board a specialized 4x4 vehicle and drive along the Atlantic coastline toward the famous Sandwich Harbour, where the towering dunes of the Namib Desert dramatically meet the ocean. This area forms part of the Namib Sand Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers breathtaking scenery, wildlife sightings, and incredible photo opportunities. During the excursion, your guide will navigate the giant dunes while sharing fascinating information about the landscape, birdlife, and history of the area.

After this unforgettable experience, you continue your journey north toward the rugged landscapes of Damaraland. The drive offers magnificent desert scenery as you travel inland through vast open plains and dramatic mountain.

Day 5

Kamanjab - Etosha National Park

Kamanjab - Etosha National Park

After breakfast, your guide hit the road toward Etosha National Park with an en-route lunch. You will arrive in the late afternoon. After check-in, you'll meet your guide in the main area and will be off in your private vehicle on a game-viewing drive, visiting waterholes. If you are lucky, you will spot the predators, otherwise, you will see zebra, giraffe, elephant, rhino and many different species of antelope. Return to you accommodation, and whilst your guide prepares the dinner on the open fire, you freshen up and join him for dinner. After dinner, you can relax in the main area watching the game that comes and goes. The rest of the night is spent at leisure.

Day 6

Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park

Today, we will spend most of the day searching for animals. You will visit a number of waterholes and stop to view the Etosha Pan, also known as the “place of dry water". This extensive, flat depression is about 5,000 km2. Seeing large herds of game in this setting of shimmering mirages is a unique experience. The early morning hours provide time for magnificent exploration as you visit the waterholes.

You will get to visit the Etosha Pan (salt pan) before doing a game drive across the park in search of the “Big 5” and other animal species. Lunch is had en route. You return to freshen up for dinner, followed by a night drive. You return to the resort after the exciting night drive. The rest of the night is spent at leisure.

Day 7

After a scrumptious breakfast, you head back to the city, passing through the small towns. Just before reaching Windhoek, we will stop over in the small town of Okahandja where we will visit Namibia's largest wood-carving market. We are likely to arrive in the city at around 16h30 where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
