Day 1

Windhoek - Namib Desert

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel or guest house between 09h00 and 09h30 and depart at 10h00 on the way south to the world-famous Sossusvlei via the picturesque Spreetshoogte Pass. We will have a stopover at the viewpoint to appreciate the endless view of the Namib. We will have lunch at the Solitaire Oasis before arriving at the lodge or campsite between 15h00 and 16h00. This time of the day is extremely hot, so we recommend that you cool off by the pool. An early rest is required as tomorrow you are expected to wake up early.

Day 2

Dune 45, Sossusvlei - Desert Experience

Today starts very early to catch the soft light of sunrise over the desert. After passing through Sesriem, we continue toward Sossusvlei with sand dunes rising along both sides of the road. This iconic landscape is made up of white plains and red dunes which tower majestically against a deep blue sky and are among the highest in the world. We start off by climbing Dune 45 and experiencing the beauty and vastness of the orange-colored landscape. We then proceed to the impressive Dead Vlei, a vast desert pan where dried-up, ancient acacias stand silent. Here, you can climb one of the highest dunes on Earth, the Big Mama.

You return to the camp and relax at the swimming pool since the temperature can rise significantly during the day. The afternoon can be spent on hiking the Sesriem Canyon. You return to the camp and freshen up before dinner. The rest of the night is spent at leisure.

Day 3

Swakopmund

The attractive drive today takes you northwest through the amazing and ever-changing desert landscapes of the Namib Naukluft National Park, including the impressive Ghaub and Kuiseb Canyon via Kuiseb pass. You will meet the coast at the port town of Walvis Bay and then continue north to Swakopmund where you can enjoy the pleasant seaside location and cooler coastal breeze for your one-night stay. There are various activities on offer at Swakopmund (for your own cost).

After the long day, you freshen up and can then explore the town along the waterfront on foot, before having dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 4

Swakopmund - Walvis Bay - Himba Village

Swakopmund - Walvis Bay - Himba Village

This morning will take you to the most incredible activity in Walvisbay. You meet with the local guide and depart on a half-day Sandwich Harbour tour. You check in at 08h00 at the waterfront where your guide will brief you before you're off on the most exciting activity. After this remarkable activity at Sandwich Harbour, you hit the road to the north to the diverse Damaraland with marvelous scenery and an en-route lunch. You'll pass Namibia’s highest mountain and arrive at Oppi Koppi Rest Camp in the late afternoon.

After you settle in, you will meet your tour guide in the lobby to visit the Himba Village. You will be accompanied by the local guide who is known by the Himba people. He'll show you the area and also translate since they only speak their local language. You return to Oppi Koppi to freshen up and have dinner. The rest of the night is spent at leisure after the long day.

Day 5

After breakfast, your guide hit the road toward Etosha National Park with an en-route lunch. You will arrive in the late afternoon. After check-in, you'll meet your guide in the main area and will be off in your private vehicle on a game-viewing drive, visiting waterholes. If you are lucky, you will spot the predators, otherwise, you will see zebra, giraffe, elephant, rhino and many different species of antelope. Return to you accommodation, and whilst your guide prepares the dinner on the open fire, you freshen up and join him for dinner. After dinner, you can relax in the main area watching the game that comes and goes. The rest of the night is spent at leisure.

Day 6

Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park

Today, we will spend most of the day searching for animals. You will visit a number of waterholes and stop to view the Etosha Pan, also known as the “place of dry water". This extensive, flat depression is about 5,000 km2. Seeing large herds of game in this setting of shimmering mirages is a unique experience. The early morning hours provide time for magnificent exploration as you visit the waterholes.

You will get to visit the Etosha Pan (salt pan) before doing a game drive across the park in search of the “Big 5” and other animal species. Lunch is had en route. You return to freshen up for dinner, followed by a night drive. You return to the resort after the exciting night drive. The rest of the night is spent at leisure.

Day 7

After a scrumptious breakfast, you head back to the city, passing through the small towns. Just before reaching Windhoek, we will stop over in the small town of Okahandja where we will visit Namibia's largest wood-carving market. We are likely to arrive in the city at around 16h30 where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
