Day 1

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00am and drive west to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch and evening game drive. Masai Mara game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August, and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Masai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at the Camp with hot showers and flush toilets. After breakfast we will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Dinner and overnight accommodations is at the camp. This morning, you will wake up early for breakfast. Then, you will check bid farewell to camp/lodge staff, and head out by road towards the Isebania/ Sirare Border where you will make a brief stop for visa processing to enter Tanzania. At the border on the Tanzania side (Sirare), you will change jeeps and proceed from here with a Tanzanian registered safari jeep and a safari guide from the Tanzania side according to the new laws.

You will drive through Nyamongo mining villages and Mugumu township towards the Serengeti National Park accessing the park through Ikoma Gate or Fort Ikoma Ranger Post depending on where your camp is located in the Serengeti. You will embark on your first game drive in the Serengeti straightaway in search of the many animals and birds that Serengeti has to offer. In the late afternoon, you will check in at a lodge/camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Your overnight stay will be at the serengeti wild Camp.

Day 4

After breakfast depart mara to Serengeti via the sirare boader. After clearance at the border, Venture in to the world famous Serengeti National Park, often touted as Africa’s best game park. The park is to Tanzania what the Masai Mara Game Reserve is to Kenya, though with an area of 14,763 sq km, it is actually over 7 times as large! Enter from the less-visited western gate, and enjoy the multitude of animal and bird life while cruising through the acacia-spotted savannah.
En route to the central Seronera plains, you will begin to experience the sheer vastness of this territory, and you will marvel at the multitude of animal and bird life while cruising through this acacia-spotted savannah. We will spend the two nights at the Ikoma tented camp.

Take breakfast and take in the active morning wildlife as you cross the Serengeti plains. Continue game viewing on the drive out of the Serengeti to our comfortable tented camp. Relax this evening enjoying the African sunset with a cool drink. Serengeti also offers rewarding bird viewing with ostrich and kori bustard being common, a variety of larks, finches, and raptors can be seen but the most distinctive small bird is the lilac breasted roller. After breakfast drive back to the boarder for check out after which you will proceed to where you will take your lunch in a local restaurant then drive to kisii for dinner and overnight. Day 7

Lake Nakuru

Depart the hotel soon after breakfast and proceed to Lake Nakuru National park via kericho tea farm. Lunch will be taken in kericho in one of the tea farms hotels tasting the local tea and maybe have time to buy from the source. You will then be taken to tour the tea farms before proceeding to lake nakuru. Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population as one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles. Although Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary, there are a considerable number of animals to be encountered, such as many large game animals such as zebras, elephants and gazelles, this is one of our best chances of seeing rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can see Rothschild’s giraffes.
