Day 1

Arrival

You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. Refresh and begin your sightseeing of Addis with a drive up to Mount Entoto for a panoramic view of Addis. Descend down and drive to the National Museum where you will have a chance to spot the oldest hominids of the ‘Lucy’ fossil. Visit and proceed to the Holy Trinity built during WWII. Later you will drive to your hotel for the overnight.

Day 2

Langano

You will begin your drive down southwards to Langano. En-route visit Lake Ziway the largest of the upper Rift Valley lakes with an area of 400 sq. km. Its shores are creased with water lilies, a breeding place for different Ethiopians. Proceed towards the Lake Langano. The lake is a place to enjoy water activities. You will enjoy the rest of the day at the Sabana Lodge.

Day 3

Arba Minch

Arba Minch

Morning you will begin your journey to Arba Minch visiting en route the Alaba village who’s expiring in making traditional houses and paintings. Later you will proceed to the Doreze village which is an expert in weaving called Shammas. The shape of their house looks like an elephant, in order to remember the existence of these animals around the area many years ago. Enset “fake banana” is the staple food for these people. Visit and drive to Arab Minch for the overnight.

Day 4

Turmi

After having your breakfast you will take a boat cruise on Lake Chamo, the third biggest Lake in Ethiopia. Enjoy your morning on the water. Later you will proceed to Turmi visiting en route the Konso village, one of the UNESCO sites in Ethiopia know for its terracing. One of the best types of coffee for the country is also from this village. After lunch, you will proceed to Turmi visiting en route the Banna village. In the evening you will enjoy the sunset at the Buska Lodge.

Day 5

Turmi

This day you will drive to Murulle where you can find the Karo people. Karo People is very famous for their splendid body decoration, which they paint their bodies and faces with white chalk to prepare for a ceremony. The women scar their chest believing it makes them beautiful. The men's scars represent an enemy or dangerous animal killed. Visit and proceed to Nyangatom who lives on the Omo basin about 3000 individuals. Ornamentation of the women is designed not only for beauty but also to assert the woman’s social status. In addition, both men and women have labial piercing with a different metal, wood, or ivory decorations. Late in the afternoon, you will visit Hammer village, the most beautiful ethnics in the lower Omo valley. You will be back at the Buska Lodge for your overnight.

Day 6

Jinka

Jinka

After having your breakfast, you will have an excursion to Omorate to visit the Dassanech people ‘people of the Delta’, who lives on the northern shore of Lake Turkana. Visit and drive back to Turmi. After lunch, you will drive to Jinka sightseeing en route. If the day match on Thursday, you will attain the most colorful market of Key Afer for the people of Ari, Banna, Hamer, and Tsemay. Then you will drive to Eco-Omo Lodge for the overnight.

Day 7

Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa

Take a day excursion to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi village. The Mursi are one of the exotic ethnic groups in Ethiopia. They live in very low huts made of straw leaves. The women like to wear terra cotta on their enormously stretched lower lips and ear lobes. Drive back to Jinka. After lunch, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Addis.

In the evening attend a folkloric dinner where you will have a chance to taste several national dishes and watch dances of the various ethnic groups of Ethiopia. The traditional coffee ceremony will also be served. Later you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
