Chimp trekking and Bigodi community tour

Early breakfast will be served at the lodge and then set out to the park headquarters to catch up with Chimpanzee trekking briefing for the local guide. After going through the dos and don’ts of chimp trekking, you enter into the forest to look for the chimps. You will be thrilled with the sweet sounds of birds and chimps in the first minutes of the trek in the forest.
Chimp tracking in Kibale roughly takes about 1-4 hours depending on the movement of the chimps. It involves looking for the chimps in the forest, following them and watching them on meeting them. You can take as many pictures of the chimps as long as the camera has no flash.
In the afternoon, having had lunch and some relaxation, visit the Bigodi community. This is the closest community to Kibale forest national park. You will enjoy the cultural dances from the local people as well as tasting the local cuisines. It’s an evening that is worth spending in the community.
