Today is kept free of game drives, allowing you to rest after the flight and begin the journey into the parks the following morning.

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast and a short safari briefing, travel from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Begin your game drive among baobabs and woodland, looking for elephants, giraffes and other wildlife with your private guide. Pause for a hot lunch with soup, bread rolls, a main course and fruit, followed by tea or coffee and a glass of wine. Continue exploring as time allows before settling into Serian Tarangire Camp for dinner and the first of two nights.

Tarangire National Park

Begin the day with an included walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger, following the ranger's instructions throughout. On foot, focus on tracks, plants and smaller signs of life that are easy to miss from a vehicle. Later, continue exploring Tarangire on a game drive with your guide. A hot lunch breaks up the day before further wildlife viewing. Return to Serian Tarangire Camp for dinner and your overnight stay, with a second night allowing you to enjoy the area without moving camp.

Enjoy a hot lunch during the day before continuing towards the Ngorongoro highlands. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Naserian Safari Camp, your base for two nights.

Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Explore open grassland and wetland areas, watching for buffalo, zebra, hippos and predators. Your guide will explain the behaviour you observe and help you search for the crater's wildlife; black rhino sightings are possible but never assured. Pause for a hot lunch, then continue exploring within the permitted visiting hours. Later, ascend and return to Naserian Safari Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Travel after breakfast to the Ndutu area of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. This day includes the road journey as well as game viewing once you reach the wildlife areas. Look for wildebeest and zebra on the short-grass plains, with your guide following recent sightings and seasonal conditions. Pause for a hot lunch before continuing your exploration. Settle into Nyikani Migration Camp Ndutu for dinner and the first of two nights. The herds follow rainfall and grazing, so their location and calving activity vary.

Two nights here give you a settled base for tomorrow's balloon safari and further game viewing.

Rise early for your included hot-air balloon safari over the Serengeti, subject to suitable weather and operating conditions. After landing, enjoy a champagne celebration and breakfast before joining your guide for a game drive. Later, enjoy a sundowner picnic with drinks and snacks before returning to Olkarien Eco Safari Lodge for dinner and your final night in the Serengeti.

Later, continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. Our team will coordinate the domestic flight, day-room arrangements and airport transfer with your departure schedule.
