Day 1

After your served breakfast, you will drive to kabalore district through mityana mubende road. This journey takes about 5 hours of drive until fort portal town. You will then have your lunch in fort portal before you proceed to your lodge close to Kibale forest national park.

Day 2

Wake up early in the morning to your served breakfast, your guide will then drive you to the park offices for registration, briefing and then you set off to the forest. You will join the rest of the team to the park escorted by a ranger and a guide who will take you through the tracking. This normally takes 4-6 hours and you will be given an hour with the chimps as you take photos and also learn the behaviors of the chimps. You will then have a lunch from the community. After lunch you can swamp walk where you can see seven types of monkeys. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Tranfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Tranfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

You will have a late breakfast and then drive your way to Kasese towards Queen Elizabeth national park. This is a journey of 3 to 4 hours leading you to your lodge to check in for lunch as you prepare for the boat cruise on the kazinga channel in the afternoon. After lunch you will take a boat ride on the kazinga channel as you get introduced to the aquatic animals such as hippos and crocodiles. You will also be able to see some animals such as elephants and buffalos that will have come by the channel to quench thirst and also bath to cool their temperatures. You will also be able to see many birds both aquatic and savanna birds while on the boat. This takes 2 hours and then you will later go for an evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains in search of cats and other animals. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, you will do an early morning game drive in search of the cats and other nimals so as to raise your chances from the last evening’s game drive. Most cats such as lions and leopards are active very early in the morning as they hunt for their prey. The game drive takes 3-4 hours and you will then drive your way to ishasha sector after lunch reaching in the afternoon. Check in at the lodge and relax as you prepare for the evening game drive in search of the tree climbing lions.

After breakfast, you will go for a morning game in search of the tree climbing lions and other animals like the leopards, topis, elephants, kobs among others. After your game drive, you will check out of the lodge to drive your way to Bwindi impenetrable forest. Reach in the late afternoon to check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Early morning breakfast at the lodge and the drive to the park headquarters with your packed lunch. Join others at the office for briefing about the dos and don’ts to the gorillas and with the gorillas. You will be escorted by a ranger and a ranger guide as you then head to the forest. Tracking normally takes 4-6 hours depending on where the gorillas will have slept the last night. On encountering the gorilla group, you will be allowed one hour of interaction with the gorillas as you take photos and learn their behaviors. You will then get back to the lodge. Check out and drive to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and overnight.

Wake up at leisure and check out, prepare to cross to the land of 1000 hills, our guide will assist with boarder crossing, the journey is scenic and picturesque, you will enjoy seeing vast tea plantations, lost of green hills and terraces, when we arrive in Kigali we will go to the genocide museum to experience the atrocious 1994 genocide, after the genocide we will have lunch at the caffe which is a good way to support the whole program,
After here we head to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay, if you love night life we will make a plot for you, note that Kigali is as safe as my European city, feel free to party.

The tour driver shall pick you up from Kigali in the morning and leave for Gisenyi town in the northwest of Rwanda. This is a 4 hour journey. Gisenyi town is the biggest and most vibrant town on Lake Kivu, popular with partygoers and those escaping the hustle and bustle of Kigali while many cross over from Goma town on the side of the lake in Congo. You will spend the rest of the day exploring Gisenyi town.

Today you shall do a boat excursion on Lake Kivu to explore the beautiful shores and islands on the lake. This vast inland fresh water also called the sea of Rwanda has vast beaches and lost activities to choose from.
There are other adventures you can do on the lake such as; kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing with locals.

Day 10

Today you shall set out to travel from Gisenyi to Kibuye on a boat cruise. Kibuye is a calm town on Lake Kivu, a contrast to Gisenyi. It is the ideal town to relax on Lake Kivu. It is also by far the most scenic part of Lake Kivu.
Instead of the boat cruise you can opt for the more adventurous kayaking expedition from Gisenyi to Kibuye. This will take you much longer than the boat but it is very adventurous.

It’s sad to come to the end of this amazing journey with you, we wish we could keep you and stay with you all the time, so on this day we will drive toward Kigali, the southwest is beautiful with lots of rolling hills and beautiful mountains, if we have time we will go through the palace and another genocide museum, Arrive in Kigali later in the evening. End of our tour.
