Day 1

We pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 08h00 and then take a 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park where you will have a full-day game drive. Later, you will drive to Jambo Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Tarangire National Park is located 115km from Arusha and covers an area of 2,800 square km. Wild animals drink water from the Tarangire River (from where the park derives its name). The park's major attractions include a large number of elephants, tree-climbing pythons, and baobab trees. You will also see lions, leopards, and other animals.

Day 2

Tarangire to Serengeti via Ngorongor

Tarangire to Serengeti via Ngorongor

After breakfast, you will start to do an en-route game drive in the safari Jeep as you head to Serengeti with your lunch. On the way, you will be able to view the beautiful Rift Valley and have a view of the Ngorongoro Crater. You will reach Serengeti at around 15h00. You will have an evening game drive in Central Serengeti where you will be able to see the sunset, before returning for dinner and your overnight stay in the Serengeti.

The major attractions in Serengeti are the endless plain and the great Serengeti wildebeest migration. This involves 1.5 herbivores and predators that move from one area to another in almost all parts of the Serengeti because of drought. Our driver-guide will make sure that you see a part of the wildebeest migration. Experience the movement of vast numbers of Serengeti’s wildebeest accompanied by large numbers of zebra, and smaller numbers of Grant’s gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle, eland, and impala.

Day 3

Serengeti full-day game drive

Serengeti full-day game drive

You will wake up early in the morning and have a full breakfast. You will then start your full-day game drive inside the Serengeti as our driver will take you to the key areas in Serengeti. We will make sure that you follow the wildebeest migration during your tour with us.

The great migration varies every year. The best chance of seeing it is from June to September, while the wildebeest calving season starts from January to March. Our driver will take you to Northern Serengeti where you will be able to see the great wildebeest migration crossing the Mara River. A million and a half of these majestic animals travel throughout the year as they look for fresh grazing pasture and follow the rainfall for better water sources. After your full-day game drive, you head back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight in Serengeti Heritage Tented Lodge.

Day 4

You will wake up at 05h45 for an early breakfast and to see the sunrise inside the Serengeti. You will then go on an early game drive until 11h30 when you head back to the campsite for a hot lunch and thereafter pack your stuff in the Jeep. You will then proceed with a game drive in the Serengeti while heading to the lodge near the Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater tour to Manyara

Ngorongoro Crater tour to Manyara

You will wake up at around 05h30 for breakfast whereafter you will descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor where you will be able to see all of the Big Five. You will also see many different types of birds as well as black rhinos inside the crater. You will have your lunch inside the crater while watching nature and the high concentrations of flamingos. After the 6 to 7-hour game drive on the crater floor, you will start ascending the crater. Pass through the campsite to pack your luggage into the Jeep, and get ready for your return trip back to lake manyara.

Day 6

Lake Manyara game drive back to arusha

Lake Manyara game drive back to arusha

After your breakfast you will head to lake Manyara for a full day game drive, inside the park you will be able to see climbing tree lions and a lot of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake and you will visit a hot spring. Also the same day you will visit Maasai Boma where you will see how they live and learn their culture and traditions then later drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
