However, the ideal scenario is that we will pick you up from the airport and drive you to Kibale National Park, the park is just four-hour drive from Entebbe International Airport. Along the way, you will encounter astonishing sceneries of Ugandan towns and villages, most of which are endowed with plantations of tea and bananas. The main destination for this trip is Fort Portal, a beautiful town nestled in the shadow of Rwenzori, Africa’s third highest mountain. Here (Fort Portal), you will explore the royal palace and its museum before proceeding with a tour of the idyllic crater lakes.

Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi swamp walk
Kibale’s charm goes beyond just having 13 primate species; it is home to the biggest population of wild chimpanzees, as estimated to be 1,500. During today’s guided walk, you will encounter of their habituated families as the showcase their survival skills. You are also likely to run into red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys and more.
Return to our lodge for lunch and later set out to Bigodi Swamp, an ideal place for bird lovers. After a satisfying day of exploration, we return to our lodge in time for dinner.

Crater Lakes & Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP
After a lovely brunch, you will head out for a brief tour at Lake Nkuruba, where you will marvel at enchanting crater lakes, gently rolling hills and wild vegetation.
Proceed with the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive just in time for an afternoon game drive that offers guaranteed sightings of warthogs, buffalo, waterbucks and elephants.

Considering that animals are their most active state in the morning, you will start the day with a thrilling game drive that starts at 6am.
In the afternoon, you will explore Kazinga Channel in a boat that offers close-up sightings of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, etc. Most of these animals congregate along the shoreline after a relaxing bath in the water.

Explore tree climbing lions and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable N/P
Today we depart from Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi First though, you will enjoy a morning game drive in pursuit of the tree climbing lions. The drive to Bwindi is an absolute delight as it is endowed with lots of beautiful plantations and attractions. Upon arrival, you will check into Broadbill Forest Camp.

Gorilla Trekking
Start your day with an morning after breakfast after which you will embark on a five minutes’ drive to the start point for gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable N/P. The adventure starts off with a briefing session by ranger guides of the park after which you will enter the forest for your gorilla tracking adventure. In an effort to enable travellers have quality time, travellers are usually split up in groups comprising of 8 people, each of which is accompanied by ranger guides. The walk off the beaten path offers accessibility to over 120 plant species that gorillas and other mammals in the park depend on for food. Gorilla tracking lasts between 2-8hours depending on the random movements of the apes. On finding them, you will have an interrupted one hour with their different members.
Thereafter, you will set off to Lake Bunyonyi, a scenic gem where you will relax from the long day’s adventure as you enjoy scenes of beautiful islands and birds.

Return journey back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport
After your relaxed breakfast, you will embark on the return journey to Kampala of Entebbe International Airport ahead of your flight to your next destination. Along the way on this road trip, you will take in breathtaking views of mountains, and plantations of bananas, tea and coffee. You will make several stopovers to do shopping, photography, and experiments at the equator.
You will reach Kampala/Entebbe in the evening. If you will to breakdown this day long drive, we can arrange for you an overnight stay at Lake Mburo National Park, a savannah park located halfway between Entebbe and Bwindi.
