Arrival in Zambia | Travel To Kafue National Park | Evening Game Drive | Sunset Boat Cruise

When you arrive in Zambia, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris representative who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (or another location in Lusaka). Then, you will be driven to Kafue National Park.

After lunch, you will head out for a game drive to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, and even wild dogs not to forget the big herbivores, like elephants and buffaloes. After the game drive, you will go on the sunset boat cruise on the Kafue River before heading to your lodge.

Your dinner and overnight stay at Mukambi Safari Lodge.

Morning and Evening Game Drive in Kafue National Park

After breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive to spot some of Kafue National Park’s best wildlife spots, such as the Busanga Plains, where you can see antelopes, elephants, zebras, and lions. Rare species to look out for include red lechwe, sable, and the African wild dogs, as well as the elusive cheetah.

Watch hippos splashing in Lake Itezhi-Tezhi and look to the skies to see the various bird species that live in the trees around the Busanga Swamp, such as African finfoot, half-collard kingfisher, and African skimmer.

After a few hours of resting at your lodge, you will go for an evening game drive. Several small rivers cross this area which leaves several waterholes in the dry season for the animals to quench their thirst. Wild dogs, which roam large areas of the park, and cheetahs and lions are among the inhabitants here.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Mukambi Safari Lodge.

Final Day| Flight Back Home

After breakfast, you will head to town for shopping and lunch. Afterward, you will be dropped off at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (or another location in Lusaka) for your scheduled flight back home.

However, you’ll leave with a camera full of photos and several stories to recount to your loved ones back home, having encountered the very best of Zambia’s creatures, great and small.
