Arrival in Nairobi and Flight to the Conservancy

You will be met by our representative at the airport for your air transfer, irrespective of the flight time, which should be advised at the time of booking or from your residence/hotel. Take a flight to the home of the inspiration for Pride Rock from Disney’s original animated film, The Lion King, the Borana Conservancy.

On arrival, you will proceed to the lodge for check-in and lunch. Later, head to the Borana stables and get acquainted with your horses. Have a sundowner at the Borana stables, then head back for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Full Day at the Conservancy

Go on an early morning game drive or a horse ride. Enjoy breakfast at Borana Lodge. Spend the heat of the day enjoying the pool and making the most of the in-house masseuse. Have lunch at Borana Lodge, and head to the Borana stables after tea. You will ride to the Borana fly camp. Sundowners at location 1, the fly camp with your horses on a picket line. You will spend the night at the fly camp. The fly camp's location is dictated by the wildlife and will be set up at two different places to ensure a thrilling, diverse experience. You will have dinner and overnight at the camp.

Full Day at the Conservancy

Wake up early to walk around camp and see what wildlife has passed under the cover of darkness. Have an early breakfast at the camp. Depart on horseback with a saddle bag lunch to explore the Ngare Ndare Forest. You will have a chance to swim, so remember to pack your swimming costumes in your saddle bags; towels will be provided. Return to camp in time for a cup of tea. The camp will move to a different location so that you will experience a completely different part of the conservancy. Spend the afternoon on a walk or drive, and have sundowners near location two of the fly camp. Spend the night at the fly camp.

Departure

Spend the morning as you please and enjoy breakfast at Borana Lodge. Depart after breakfast. You will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi.
