Day 1

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi and drive you to Olpopongi Maasai village. Spend the day and night in an authentic Maasai village and enjoy 24 hours in this fascinating culture. Learn and experience the daily life of the Maasai children and adults, helping them with chores and other activities. Spend a unique and unforgettable evening at the campfire with a Maasai barbeque and a traditional dancing ceremony before you find yourself sleeping on a comfortable cowhide bed or in a nearby lodge.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

In the morning, we drive to Tarangire National Park which is known for its huge baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Its sparse vegetation makes it a beautiful and special location where up to 300 elephants can be found looking for underground streams in the dry riverbeds. Migratory wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo can also be seen crowding the shrinking lagoons. Here, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch. In the late afternoon, you will drive to the outskirts of the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater for a hot shower, dinner, and overnight.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

Today, you drive to one of the most famous game parks in Africa, the Serengeti! It is known to host the most amazing wildlife spectacle on earth – the great migration. This is where over 1 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle head to and from the Mara River and Ngorongoro Highlands to search for fresh grass and water. Other popular wild animals include the Big Five (elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). The many predators include cheetah, wild dog, jackal, and hyena to name just a few. Serengeti also inhabits over 350 species of birds - both migratory and resident. Enjoy an awesome game drive and in the evening, you will drive to the campsite for a shower, dinner, and overnight.

Awake to the bright orange sunrise over the Serengeti plains and the sounds of wildlife around you. Spend a full day on the plains. Enjoy an awesome game drive and in the evening, you will drive to Pimbi Campsite for a shower, dinner, and overnight.

This morning, after enjoying a beautiful Serengeti sunrise, you’ll catch a glimpse of lions and other predators on their morning hunt during your game drive. After brunch, you’ll leave the park for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On your way, you will have an option to visit Olduvai Gorge, home to our earliest ancestors and the most famous archaeological site in East Africa. Thereafter, enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders! Before dinner is served, enjoy awesome views of the crater below. Your overnight stay is at Simba Campsite, located at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Today, you’ll rise early to descend the 600m-high walls to the floor of the crater and get up close with one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa. Here you will find a haven of African wildlife with a diversity of habitats with a high chance of witnessing the endangered rhino and other Big Five animals. Enjoy a game drive and lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site. In the late afternoon, you will drive up the crater rim to the campsite for a hot shower, dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha

Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha

In the morning, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located within the Great Rift Valley. Upon your arrival in Manyara, you will be welcomed by the view of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and the mischievous baboon at the entrance of Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara boasts a spectacular setting and is famous for its tree-climbing lions and soda-ash lake. Blessed with forest habitat, it harbors elephants, giraffes, baboons, blue monkeys, and bushbuck, just to name a few. The park also provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingos, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants. You will enjoy a picnic lunch. In the late afternoon, you will depart to Arusha where you will prepare for your travel back home or your journey to Zanzibar.
