Kigali; City Tour of Kigali

The arrival of your morning air transfer at the Kigali International Airport.
Meet and greet assistance by Akagera Aviation (assistance with visas at immigration).
You will take a PCR test to enable you to trek Gorillas on the second day.
Once done, collect your luggage from the conveyor belt then exit.
Our driver guide will be waiting to warmly welcome you.
Breakfast will be at the Bourbon restaurant at the airport.
We will then start by visiting the Rwanda Art/history museum. After this, we will visit the Kigali Genocide memorial.
Once done, visit the Choose Kigali art gallery. Lunch will be at the La terrasse restaurant.
Transfer to your city hotel for check-in. The afternoon will be at leisure.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Volcanoes; Gorilla Trek, People & Culture

04h00: Check out and settle any extras you may have incurred. (You will pick up your packed breakfast box)
04h30: Set off for Musanze & Volcanoes National Park. The drive time is 2 hours and a half. Arrive at park headquarters by 07h00 in time for your Gorilla Trek briefing, over a cup of hot coffee.
At 08h00, you will be transferred to your trailhead where your guided walk will start.
There is no other wildlife experience quite like an encounter with mountain gorillas. That precious hour spent in their company – watching the group playing, sulking, teasing each other, eating, or dozing just like we do – is extraordinary. The gorilla tracking safaris in Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park are among the best in Africa.
After this exciting experience, transfer to your lodge for check-in, followed by a hot lunch. Your boots will be cleaned.
This afternoon, visit the Gorilla guardian's cultural village.
Return to the lodge in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay.

Volcanoes - Kigali; Golden monkeys

Early breakfast at the lodge, then transferred to the park headquarters in time for Golden monkey trek briefing that’s scheduled to take place at 07h00. At 08h00, proceed to trailhead and begin the adventure.

Trekking to see the golden monkeys is another highlight of Volcanoes National Park. The Golden Monkey (Cercopithecus Mitis Kandti) is a local subspecies of the widespread Sykes Monkey, also known as the “Blue Monkey” and is endemic to the high altitude forests. The monkeys are playful and inquisitive and often spend their time leaping from bamboo branches or frolicking on the forest floor.

After this experience, descend from the mountain. Re-join your driver and head back to the lodge for lunch and cleaning of boots.
Check out by 15h00 and set off for Kigali international airport. The drive time will be about 2 hours and a half.
Arrive, bid farewell to your driver guide and proceed to check in for your outbound air transfer.
