Day 1
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
Today, after breakfast, you will be collected from your lodge and driven to Tarangire National Park with lunch boxes. The drive to Tarangire National Park is about 110 km and takes about 2 hours from Arusha.
Tarangire National Park is a huge park best known for its large herds of elephants, but it’s also great for lion and leopard, wonderful for birdlife, and has a great variety of landscapes and wildlife. The gorgeous Silale Swamp, south of the park, is magnificent and almost always rich in wildlife that takes advantage of this reliable water source. The park provides water not only from the swamp but also from the Tarangire River, and during the Dry season, it’s the primary source of water for animals across the entire area, making for fantastic viewing.
After a full day in the park, we will drive a short distance to Maramboi Tented Lodge for an overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park is another lovely park, lying roughly between Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater. It boasts a beautiful little groundwater forest where you can spot blue monkeys, giraffe, elephant, lion, leopard and a beautiful lake dusted pink in the distance with flamingos.
Stretching for 50 km along the base of the rusty-gold 600m-high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater forest where hundred-strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbuck tread through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy.
You will enjoy your lunch box in the park and continue with the game drive. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Kitela Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
Today, after breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your lodge and drive you to the famous Serengeti.
You will visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands (optional), where you will meet the elders, warriors, women and children and learn about their culture, beliefs and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic tribe.
The Central Serengeti boast those spectacular “endless plains”, dotted with acacia trees and the occasional rocky kopjes. What is special about Central Serengeti is the wide-open spaces, driving for miles and miles through animals as far as the eye can see, and riverine forests. There is a good chance of seeing a leopard along the river valleys. Wildebeest herds spread over a large area year-round.
You will have lunch in the park and then continue with the game drive. In the evening, you will drive to an authentic, intimate tented camp set in a secluded part of the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti.

Day 4
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
Before sunrise, around 6 am, we leave the lodge for an early morning game drive. This is generally the best time to spot the wildlife, as the temperature is cool and the animals are still very active, including the big cats, which will be returning from a night of hunting.
You will then drive back to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast, followed by a relaxing break. You will have your lunch in the park, and thereafter drive to Ngorongoro while enjoying a game drive en route. You will arrive at your lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today you will drive to the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. This crater is the world’s largest intact collapsed caldera (volcano), which is a self-contained ecosystem with its own unique population of wildlife in a confined area of amazing variety. The crater boasts lots of lions, hyenas, fantastic birdlife, serval, Cape buffalo, zebra and gorgeous landscapes. Also, there is an added advantage of seeing rhinos, if you are lucky. The view from the veranda of the lodges is breathtaking, especially in the morning mist, thanks to the high altitude (it can be visited at any time of the year).
You will have lunch in the crater, then continue with the game drive. In the late afternoon, you will be driven back to Arusha.
